Crowtail - Ultrasonic Ranging Sensor (Grove Compatible)

This new Crowtail module (Grove compatible) can simplify the connections in your project and make your life easier! Say goodbye to messy wiring and incorrect pin connections, as the Crowtail module features a standard pin arrangement and can only be plugged in one way.

This module is based on the HC-SR04, it has stable performance and high-ranging accuracy. Compared to the Shap IR ranging module, HC-SR04 is much more cheaper with the same ranging accuracy and longer ranging distance. It offers excellent range accuracy and fairly stable readings at a very low cost.

Since the ultrasonic sensor uses sonar to determine the distance to an object, its operation is not affected by sunlight, spotlight, and object's surface color which will affect the readings of any infrared distance sensors. However acoustically soft materials such as clothes can be difficult to detect.
