Description
FR02A FM Radio Stereo Module is using the TEA5767 which is a single-chip electronically tuned FM stereo radio for low-voltage applications with fully integrated Intermediate Frequency (IF) selectivity and demodulation. The radio is completely adjustment-free and only requires a minimum of small and low cost external components. The radio can be tuned to the European, US, and Japanese FM bands. This TEA5767 work best in 3.3V which give the best quality of sound, and in order to ease user, a 3.3V voltage regulator had been added in this board.
To tuned the FM module to receive Radio station, a controller is needed, interface via I2C or TWI, do check the examples code at the bottom of this page. Besides ready with on board pullup resistor for I2C communication, the module also comes with amplifier and stereo audio socket for headphones or speaker connection.
The antenna pad is extended out for user to add wire antenna. To receive better radio station signal, a simple jumper wire of the length 30cm is recommended.
